I workout for no one else, but myself. I don't workout to look good for anyone, I don't workout to show off to everyone else, and I don't workout because my friend works out. However, if my workout can help someone else, sign me up! I discovered the Charity Miles App thanks to Tone It Up's Fit for Fall Charity Challenge this year, and with the ((FREE)) app, I'm able to track my running, walking, or biking miles, and allows you to choose an amazing charity to donate to important causes. For every mile you run, a sponsor donates to the charity of your choice.

- The Partnership for a Healthy America
Choosing a charity that is near and dear to your heart helps to motivate you that much more during the run. Bikers earn up to 10 cents per mile, and walkers and runners earn 25 cents per mile! Any little bit counts towards a charity, and you are able to pick a new charity every time. You can even choose a team, or create your own and get a bunch of people involved to try and raise money for a charity. When I downloaded the app, I joined the Tone It Up team. I'm able to see where I am on the leaderboard, and I can see everyone else's runs as well, and see how big of an impact we're making as a team, as well as the impact I'm making! It's such a powerful thing, and really pushes you that much harder to get in another mile, or run a little faster.
The first run I did, I ran for the Partnership For A Healthier America. Since then I've chosen different charities including the Stand Up to Cancer Foundation because of a loss our TIU team suffered, Charity: Water because I ran on an extremely hot day, and then I chose the Partnership For a Healthier America again.
The only downside to the app is that I've noticed that my runs on the treadmill are not calculated correctly. I've had no problem with using it with my outside runs, but inside runs don't work very well. Other than that, this app is nothing but AMAZING.
