You ask, and you shall receive... the monthly challenges are back! We're ending summer the only way I know how - with a BANG! We've done a push up challenge, working on the arms and chest, a strength challenge that incorporated weights, and a plank challenge. This month we're focusing on that booty! Don't worry I haven't forgotten about that apple bottom!
The daily workout challenge will get that booty and legs ready for those skinny jeans and leggings! To do so, we'll be doing 4 exercises, starting with 10 reps each for week 1, all the way to 50 reps each during week 5. Sundays will be our max days, where we will complete as many jump squats as we can in one minute. You can certainly expect #bootygainz this summer. Not only will we increase reps each week, but we'll also be increasing the level of difficulty of the squats. To make things even harder, I highly encourage you to add weights, because a little resistance never hurt anyone! Each day, I will post a video of the challenge, so feel free to follow me on Instagram (kristynnicole1) OR go ahead and LIKE my Get Fit with Kristyn Facebook page, and I'll invite you to our SunFit Challenge group!
I know it's difficult, but I know that each and every one of you can devote a few minutes of your day to yourself. As I've said before, you don't need to spend hours at the gym to get fit and healthy. You can certainly do different workouts, on top of this challenge, but even if you only do this challenge, you'll be that much more closer to your fitness goals, and a little bit healthier as each day passes!
By joining my SunFit Challenge group on Facebook, you'll be able to hold yourself accountable with others completing the challenge! There, you'll also find healthy recipes, other workouts, motivation, and words of encouragement!

Not only will I be able to check up on you that way, but you'll also be entered to win weekly giveaways... think Apples.
I challenge you to have a shot of Apple Cider Vinegar every morning, and you can thank my friend Joe for the suggestion!
Benefits of Drinking Apple Cider Vinegar Every morning:
- Lowers blood sugar - the antiglycemic effect of the apple cider vinegar helps with insulin sensitivity
- Reduces hunger, and helps to slow fat accumulation, therefore helping you to lose weight
- Lowers cholesterol
- Detoxes your liver and promotes circulation - acids bind to toxins and assist in removing toxins
- Digestive aid
That doesn't mean you should go and drink any old bottle of apple cider vinegar that you have in your kitchen. Head out to the store and pick up Bragg's organic, raw, unfiltered apple cider vinegar. It's the BEST. However, do not drink the whole bottle of this, either. I recommend consuming 2 tablespoons each morning. Now, some people can take it as a shot, but others may have difficulty because of the taste. I love to make myself a nice drink to have right when I wake up... no, not an alcoholic drink! Get your mind right.
ACV Morning Glory
2 tbsp Bragg's ACV
2 oz. all natural, no sugar added apple juice
Sprinkle of cinnamon
Pour ACV into cup with apple juice, fill the rest of the cup with water.
Sprinkle cinnamon on top.
If you want to make this a shot, have 2 tbsp Bragg's ACV with a splash of apple juice!
Tastes like an apple pie, or close to it without all those added calories! I usually make enough for the week, this way I can wake up and drink one to get my day started. I add cinnamon because it also helps to lower blood sugar. I would not recommend drinking this before your workout, as I'm not sure if the acids would react poorly in your stomach. If you workout before eating, workout first, then drink this along with your breakfast.
